The Sweet Spot - Fine Gourmet Chocolate Candy

The Sweet Spot uses centuries old recipes to create handmade centers for all of our chocolate candies plus the creative recipe ideas of Master Confectioner Leopold.

Using the finest ingredients on the market, we use the lost art of starch casting our creams in a cornstarch infused with mineral oil. This method makes our creams just as tender as others make but allows us to use less sugar than other confectioners and no fillers allowing more of the flavor to come through.

Click on picture to view largerOur signature Buttercrunch, is a century old German butter toffee recipe that has been handed down from master confectioner to master confectioner. We roast raw almonds in the butter to give it a unique and intense flavor then we take this center and hand dip it in chocolate and roll it in crushed almonds to create the perfect candy.

Our caramel is also from a century old recipe and is very soft and chewable with a smooth texture, unlike commercial caramels, which may be hard. In addition, we do not use fillers or additives keeping our product as pure as possible.

Originating in 1800’s France, our fresh cream French Chocolate truffle recipe with their milky richness literally melt in your mouth.

We take pride in the fact that our nougat is fluffy and chewable and our Marshmallow is soft and tender. When you bite into our marshmallow center, you’ll discover it’s unlike any other marshmallow you have ever had.

Our Chocolate Candy Centers:

  • Our Jellies are 100% pectin based to create a clean texture and flavor.

  • We use triple distilled peppermint oil in our peppermint patties and peppermint creams.

  • We use Australian Pineapple and Ginger. They use osmosis to replace the water in the fruit with sugar syrup that acts as a preservative and gives the fruit a sharper taste while keeping it tender and less fibrous.

  • Our Almonds come from California, pecans from Georgia, orange peels from Spain.

  • We use Zante Currents from Greece instead of raisins because they have a similar taste but contain more flavor and less sugar.

Our Dark and Milk Chocolate:

  • We use blends of the highest quality chocolates.

  • Our dark chocolate is a true semi-sweet and has no milk products.

  • Our milk chocolate has a very low percentage of sugar compared with most chocolates used.

  • Both Chocolates compare w/ any fine European chocolate and were made here in PA.
